Themes

Aim: To marvel at God's beautiful world; to recognise that things have gone wrong and how we are part of that.

Bible Reference: Genesis 1:20-27,27-31

TODAY: After we heard the story of creation, we made animal mobiles, pinecone animals and reused bottles to make cup and ball games.

 

Aim: To explore how Jesus came into the world to help people when things go wrong; to see that Jesus is with us all the time to help us

Bible Reference: John 2:1-11

 

Aim: To hear how the blind man could see and put his trust in Jesus; to explore how the Pharisees were in darkness and needed Jesus' light to shine onto them.  We too need his light to show us both the dark in our lives and also to be light like Jesus.

Bible Reference: John 9:1-41

 

Aim: To hear the story of Jesus' death and discover it was part of God's plan. Jesus' death makes it possible for God to forgive us for the wrong we have done.  Jesus came to take the blame for all the wrong things we have done even though he did not deserve to die.

Bible Reference: John 19:25-30 and John 20:1-10

 

Aim: To explain the story of Jesus' meeting with Mary three days after his death; to discover that Jesus is alive today and wants to have a lifelong relationship with us.
